2/19/2011- pbs.org/teachers- online organization

What's new?
This week I visited pbs.org/teachers. I decided to visit this website because it is one which I have heard alot about. Many people who I work with and parents I know use this not only in the classroom but also at home. I really enjoyed this website as it provides many resources and links for students, teachers, and parents.

What did I learn?
First of all, I learned that this organization is a FREE organization dedicated to public broadcasting. And most importantly it offers free classroom resources for teaching and learning. Resources such as lesson plans, teaching activities, videos, interactive games and simulations can enhance learning of a child and are all tied to state and national education standards. Resources that will benefit teaching include webinars for teachers, a media infusion blog, professional development teacher line classes. These along with instructional strategies develop and enhance teaching methods.

What else do I want to learn?
I would like to know how creditable is PBS Teacherline? And what is the content of their courses? As it offers professional development that earns credits from local colleges or universities.
